Women’s Singles Development Program
Add new dimensions to your game! The Women's Singles Development Program provides the missing link between lessons and matches. Players are provided with a wide range of opponents, all at the 4.0-5.0 level.
Schedule - Each two-hour session will be split in two halves, players will play against 2 different opponents each session.
A schedule will be distributed before the first week of play. Players are responsible for finding their own substitutes. Priority in obtaining a sub must be given to those players in the program who are not scheduled that week. REMEMBER: Securing a sub in the event that you cannot play is a matter of etiquette. Please do not let others down.
Limit - The program will be limited to 20 players, 10 of whom will play each week. If you would like to be guaranteed play each week, rather than every other week, you may enroll as a full member.

Women’s Doubles Clinic
In our Women's Doubles Clinics, we will extensively cover the intricacies of doubles tactics, as well as techniques for "winning from the net".
The core elements of the program include proper stroking techniques on all shots and an introduction to basic court positioning and shot selection. Advanced court positioning and strategy will be a part of the Thursday (4.0) group. Placement in the group is based on ability and prior playing experience.
Schedule - Players will have 60 minutes of instruction followed by supervised competitive play.
Limit - The program will be limited to 12 players. If you are new to Chestnut Ridge, you will need an evaluation before signing up for the program: Monday program or Thursday program.
Notes for all Programs - Players must be registered at CRRC in order to participate in the program. The annual registration fee is $75. Acceptance to the program is by tryout only.

The program is separated into three leagues based on USTA rating. (Monday: 3.5; Tuesday: 4.0; Wednesday: 4.5 - these days can be changed based on schedule)
A schedule will be distributed before the first week of play.
Matches are two sets with regular scoring. If sets are split, a 12-point tiebreaker will be played to determine the winner. This match structure is identical to USTA competition.

Playing on a competitive team is an ideal way to meet players in your skill range and to keep you active, challenged and motivated year-round. Chestnut Ridge hosts many competitive teams for the major local leagues, including the Metropolitan Interclub Tennis League (MITL) and USTA teams of all levels and age-groups.

Lessons / Drills
During both the indoor and outdoor seasons, Chestnut Ridge offers private, semi-private, and drill group lessons for adults and juniors. These types of lessons are set up by arrangement with members of the professional staff.
Private lessons, semi-private lessons and drill sessions all are important when a player is looking to improve. Private lessons are the easiest way to make technical improvements but can also be used simply to get a great workout. Semi-private lessons are especially advantageous for top-level players looking to improve their stamina and consistency. Drill sessions offer players the opportunity to hone their skills in a wide variety of game-situation drills.

Contract Courts
Dates: The current season will run from September 16, 2023 through April, 26, 2024 - 32 Weeks.
Reservations and deposits: Deposits for 2023-2024 will be accepted for the coming winter season commencing February 15, 2023.
Reservations must be accompanied by a $800.00 Deposit due by March 15 (Non-refundable after August 1, 2023)
Deposit refunds will be granted if a written notice of cancellation is received by August 1, 2023. Deposits will not be refunded thereafter unless the vacancy that is created can be refilled.
