Olga Lugina Warshaw was born in Kiev, Ukraine (1974), and started playing tennis at the age of eight. Olga played for the Soviet Union's national junior teams fo eight years, before turning pro in 1990.
On the WTA Tour, Lugina broke into the world's 'Top 100' rankings in singles (#96), and 'Top 50' in doubles (#46). Olga won two WTA doubles titles, represented Ukraine in the Fed Cup from 1992-1997, and was selected to represent Ukraine in the 1996 Olympic Games.
Olga retired after the 1999 U.S. Open, moving to Westchester to raise a family and teach tennis. She has been a teaching pro at CRRC since 2000, and has groomed numerous high school players for collegiate tennis careers.
